Las finanzas, en economía, son las actividades relacionadas con los flujos de capital y dinero entre individuos, empresas o Estados.
Por extensión también se denomina finanzas el estudio de esas actividades como especialidad de la Economía y la Administración que estudia la obtención y gestión, por parte de una compañía, individuo o del Estado, de los fondos que necesita para cumplir sus objetivos y de los criterios con que dispone de sus activos. En otras palabras, estudia lo relativo a la obtención y gestión del dinero y de otros valores como títulos, bonos, etc.
Las finanzas tratan, por lo tanto, de las condiciones y oportunidad en que se consigue el capital, de los usos de éste y de los pagos e intereses que se cargan a las transacciones en dinero.

Finance, in economy, are the activities related to the capital flows and money between individuals, companies or States.
By extension also one denominates finances the study of those activities like specialty of the Economy and the Administration that studies the obtaining and management, on the part of a company, individual or of the State, the bottoms that needs to fulfill its objectives and of the criteria whereupon it has its assets. In other words, it studies relative to the obtaining and the management of the money and other values like titles, bonds, etc.
The finances deal with, therefore, of the conditions and opportunity in which the capital is obtained, of the uses about this one and the payments and interests that are loaded to the transactions in money.
